Achieve the lowest total cost of ownership

Helping you optimize your process and achieve the lowest possible total cost of ownership by offering you the right solution.

Choosing the right technology

Each technology Atlas Copco offers you is designed to optimize your process. However, not all technologies are a perfect fit for each process. Choosing an installation that fits the exact demands of you process will help you save money on the biggest component of a blower’s or compressor’s total lifecycle cost: energy consumption. Per 1 bar/14.5 psi the air is compressed above the actual demand, up to 7% can be saved on energy consumption.

For instance, if your applications requires an air supply of 2 bar(g)/29 psig and your installation delivers you a pressure of 5.5 bar(g)/80 psig, an average of 25% on energy is wasted on compressing 3.5 bar(g) above the actual demand. We offer you an extensive range of blowers and compressors to fit the needs of each process and application, helping you cut costs wherever possible.

Sizing your pneumatic conveying installation

So how exactly do you know which size of compressor is right for your pneumatic conveying process? A correctly sized installation will help you to maximize your energy savings. Defining the needs for a pneumatic conveying installation can be a difficult calculation as the nature of the materials you are conveying and the installation geometry (specifics of your piping network) will impact the flow and pressure and thus the size of installation your require.

But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Our experts can help you to maximize your energy savings and define the correct size of your compressed air installation by calculating the exact flow and pressure required for your pneumatic conveying process.

Saving energy with a screw blower

In demanding cement applications, energy efficiency is key and screw blowers can provide this. Unlike traditional lobe blowers that rely on external compression, screw blowers use internal isentropic compression, significantly reducing energy losses. Their precision-engineered rotors compress air smoothly and continuously, resulting in lower power consumption and quieter operation. This makes a screw blower the perfect fit for non stop applications like combustion air.
