Control modes
For units with variable speed drive
Flow setpoint
With this control mode, the compressor speed will be adjusted based on the external signal provided by the process (e.g. 4-20 mA signal). The unit delivers the required flow without taking the pressure into consideration. However, the pressure is always monitored for safety reasons.
Pressure setpoint and automatic stop
The pressure is kept constant by adjusting the motor speed to the fluctuating air volume flow. If the required flow is less than the minimum allowed volume flow, the unit will be stopped.
For units with load/unload regulation
Pressure control with dual setpoint and automatic stop
Most production processes create fluctuating levels of demand which, in turn, can create energy waste in low use periods. By using the Elektronikon® controller, you can manually or automatically switch between two different setpoints to optimize energy use and reduce costs at low use times. In addition, the sophisticated algorithm runs the drive motor only when needed. As the desired setpoint is maintained while the drive motor’s running time is minimized, energy consumption is kept to a minimum.
